The Sound of Music
Saturday, January 21st
11am-2pm - Children's Roles
2pm-6pm - Adult Roles
Sunday, January 22nd
7-9:30pm - Adult Roles
Call Backs - Tuesday, January 24th
Please prepare 2 contrasting Broadway musical selections, 16 - 32 bars, with sheet music in your key. CD's are okay, but we prefer to hear you sing with live accompaniment since our shows are performed with live orchestras. You can not sing a cappella.
There will be readings from the script and wear, or bring, clothes appropriate for movement.
ALL roles are available.
Maria - Mezzo Soprano
Capt. Von Trapp - Lyric Baritone
Max - Baritone
Elsa - Mezzo
Rolf - Tenor
Liesel* - Alto
All the children must be able to vocalise to a mid-staff "D",
Kurt, specifically, should be a boy soprano
Mother Abbess - Soprano
The nuns must range in voices from Low Alto to Soprano.
Sopranos in "Maria" must vocalize to an "E".
*Those auditioning for Liesel will audition with the children (despite what she may think).
